Stitching at Evandale - Part 2

Christine Dearden hosted our 'Stitching Event at Evandale'.   Our tutors for the day included, Marg Low, Libby Richardson & Rhonda Leith.  It was great to finally meet, Sarah, Roseanne also a couple of new to me bloggers, Leanne, Marina, & Cathy, also Jeanette (not a blogger yet...LOL).  We (Lisa & I) had a great day of friendship, food & stitching!  What more could a girl ask for??
Sweet stitching to you all!

Christmas Ornament Swap - Evandale Part 1

Due to some issues with blogger this morning I thought, I'd report on the 'Christmas Ornament Swap'
that a few of us participated in at Evandale yesterday.  This is the Gingerbread House Ornie I created & Razzy received.
My handcrafted ornie was from Jeanette.....Loved my prezzie Jeanette.

You opened up the little purse to discover a tiny wrapped prezzie inside.  What a great idea!
Big thanks to Sarah for organizing the swap.
Sweet Stitching to you all!

Early Bird Challenge

These are the items I made for Judith's challenge...scarf, glasses/punchneedle case, book mark & gift tags.  Still have a couple of days to go to create some more mini gifts. Would you like to be an 'Early Bird' too?  Pop over here for a peek, it's very tempting.

Early Bird Christmas Crafting

I'm very pleased to announce that on the weekend I succumbed to temptation and joined in with Judith's 'Early Bird Christmas' group.  I had a journal ready to go and have started to a couple of items.

These gift bags are quick & easy & have a couple more ready to sew.

I've lots of ideas and am eager to start this weeks challenge!
Sweet stitching to you all!

Hexagon Homework

Last night my sister set me a deadline to complete a hexie flower...wasn't sure if I was going to complete homework on time, as I also had to play Monopoly...LOL. This is my first attempt at a flower & will be tweaking a few things next time.
I've also been trying to download designs from cd to usb stick, but this process isn't working, so I had to put embroidery machine close to computer & cable them across...so frustrating!!

Thankyou for all the warm wishes for my Birthday. I had a lovely but very cold weekend. Lisa made me this pincushion...isn't it gorgeous?
I hope you all have a beaut long weekend & sweet stitches to you all!

Something Old & Something New

This is my most recent finish, a scarf out of the May issue of 'Get Creative'. I used Cleckheaton Country Paint Box, 8ply. It took nearly 3 balls.

Please meet 'Big Ted". Isn't he the best model ever, he didn't blink or move....lucky the wind wasn't blowing....Lol.
I made this bag quite a few years back, at a time when my sister & I used to pester mum to get the old black singer out! It was one that you had to turn the handle to sew. The fabric in the bag was from the skirt of one of mums dresses that she used to wear when she was younger.

Sweet Stitching to you all.

Folder, Fabric & Thread

The weather being perfect for craft meant I had the opportunity today to finished the folder for the 'Life Is Beautiful' bits & pieces.
I had already decided what colours & threads etc that I was going to use, but alas this morning I had a change of heart & decided to go with red instead of the burgundies that I had originally chosen.

With everything ready now I intend to make a start this weekend!
Hope you're all having craft weather too!!
