Colourful Friday

It's Colourful 'Spotty Dotty' Friday...hosted by Robyn @ Daisy Quilts.

These are a couple of my favourite china pieces.....they live in my craft room as decorative pieces. They remind me of patchwork.

Some spotty dots on February Hearts.

Some raised textured dots on Lady Crinoline.

Lastly some spots on my vintage cushion. Will be around the traps soon to see if you've all gone dotty....or is it just me with the lateness of the hour...LOL.

Birthday Swap

The challenge for our on-line stitching group is to create a birthday gift using the letter of the town/suburb of which we live...that meant I had to create a gift starting with the letter S.  The only other restriction was size of 8 inches square.  So keeping that in mind I created a sponge bag & a scented crochet sachet......also included some smellies being hand cream & a drawer sachet.

Double Delight

I've had a few ideas buzzing around in my head lately and on the weekend I decided to create one of them. The result is this simple doily I call Double Delight.

February Hearts

I finished off my February Hearts on the weekend using a variegated thread & some stipple quilting.

A little bit of crochet and all is done....

well not quite, I have to make a label which I'll do when I get the embroidery machine out next.

Colourful Friday

My floral bouquet of colours representing 'Valentines Day' are pink, yellow & a splash of red!

Along the same theme...I've decided something that looks & smells nice are great, but something that tastes nice is a bonus!! It was very refreshing to get out this morning & take these pics whilst everything was fresh & crisp from some rain last night....or early this morning!

Cathy's Campfire

This is the first block of the month for our on-line stitching group. I used 'Grandmothers Flower Garden' fabrics, by Rosalie Quinlan.

I'm thinking when the blocks are complete of maybe a small quilt....hmmmm?
