Bits & Pieces

This runner is a gift for a friends 20/20....I hope she likes the colours.
Another embroidery design from Bess. I love to watch them stitch out.

I stopped in at Bear Cottage last week & just as I was about to leave I discovered this. I originally thought I'd like to paint it white, but I'm starting to like the green.
Have a great weekend all.

Life Is Beautiful

It was an enjoyable task creating a cover for the Life Is Beautiful pattern booklet. A little bit of paint, some machine embroidery and some trims & my booklet is complete.
I now look forward to browsing through the patterns tonight whilst relaxing in the chair, maybe with a cuppa & some chocolates!!
Hope you all had a great Mothers Day.....Jane.

A Gift

I rolled in the door Monday night, tired & exhausted from having coached the kids netball, to find a parcel had arrived.....I was so eager to open it I nearly forgot to take pics....LOL.

After taking some hurried pics I took a moment to look carefully at the gifts that had been handcrafted for me. I received a lovely card holder, fabric & a flower brooch from Jazzy.

Thankyou Jazzy for the gifts....I adore them all!!
P.s. You do a wonderful job of your flower brooches Razzy!
Take care all....Jane.

Festive Star Runner

I enjoyed creating this project by Marg Low...was a bit tricky when trying to take a photo outside, as the wind was blowing & Dusty thought that it was her new blanket!!

I like to do a couple of new things for Christmas each year & I thought a set of coasters to match the runner would come in handy...........hope your all finding some time to create.

A Surprise & A Purse

Whilst packing to go away the other weekend, a knock at the door revealed my sister with this parcel. A total surprise...I was so exited...an early birthday present...Yipee!!
I was soooo lucky to receive these items....two of which travelled with me...the puffy pouch is just the thing for lippies & make-up bits...the other wallet already packed with those bits & pieces you may need & can be easily changed from your day bag to your evening bag...very handy.........thankyou so much Lisa.....they're gorgeous & I love them.
This was a fun project to make....loved doing the crazy patchwork & now I'm just waiting for the spring strip to arrive.
Enjoy your weekend.

Heritage Quilt Block

I was a bit out of my comfort zone working on nature for the "Heritage Quilt' block. It isn't clear in the pic, but I appliqued the swan in satin stitch & did some stipple quilting to represent water. I'm looking forward to seeing the quilt together!
Hope your all having a fun week......Jane.

Butterfly Bag Tag

Wait, wait, I'm not too late!!!!!!.........................
At the recent Gathering Helen challenged us to create something out of a fat 16th of fabric by Easter Tuesday!! I decided to make a bag tag to put on my case to make it easier to spot in the luggage collection area on the weekend. This butterfly is an in-built design on my embroidery machine and I added some crochet around the edge to pretty it up.
The white homespun is the extra fabric, the spot below was my issue.

Gail, Lisa, Fiona & Jo have also made items for the challenge & are all well worth a visit.

Happy holidays.....Jane.
