New Needlecase

The weekend saw me create this....

with a little bit of machine embroidery and some crochet...

lined with wool to park needles......

a name, plus date and all is complete....my new needlecase!

Weekend Crafting

A little bit of crafting this weekend resulted in a Pillow Case style dress, some bunting for my mantle & a few new scarves.

These are the beautiful gifts I received from talented crafter Sarah, in our recent 'Anni Downs Swap'. A cushion & framed fabric pic......I luv them both Sarah & am still admiring those tiny little stitches....Thank you!!

The hexie mat I finished on the weekend.....and the scarf was a one hour project...yes, a nice quick one.  The wool was beautiful to work with....can't wait to get some more.

Colourful Friday - Hexagons

Hunting for hexagons..how did you go?

This is what I found.

 on the boat motor....

bolted on....

and this door handle, which I'm sure is as old as the house!

I'm sure I'll be finding more over the next couple of days....that's what usually happens.
